Seems google releases something new every day (amazing what they can find to spend those untold billions on). Here's their latest news - Google will pinpoint your location on the mobile version of their Google Maps application, using triangulation from mobile phone towers to show where you are. Not new techonolgy conceptually, but probably the first time someone has made it available en mass in a simple usable format. We've all heard about location marketing, but what are some of the other (maybe less 'salesy', more community driven?) opportunities that this development represents?
